It's ok saying they will allow weddings to take place etc but how wil this affect us ?

As im pretty sure no one will want a party after a silly O'clock wedding lol

May be wrong but i can't see it affecting the Entertainments business much tbh

I don't reckon it will catch on. People are used to the routine now.

Ceremony in the afternoon, reception in the evening.

We don't like change :D

It will only affect us if venue licences also change allowing functions to continue after the usual / current 12 / 1 / 2 O'clock curfew

There's obviously demand, otherwise why bother with the change?

Looks like there'll be less of the "Ladies and gentlemen, the buffet is now served" and more of the "Ladies and gentlemen, it's now time for the wedding ceremony!" :p

I don't think it will impact our trade too much but it's bound to lead to some unusual running orders and timings somewhere along the line :o

Oh, and it might mean a few more photographers sticking around for the first dance :D

It could mean that some popular hotels might be able to cope with more work. We might reap the benefits also. Imagine it, we do a gig till one a.m., and then at six a.m. play the first dance for the next party!!!! :D :D :D

There's an opening here for ordained DJ's - and the DSB would make a great pulpit!

can see this working for some people. Imagine a 7pm Service, 8pm buffet, 8:30pm speeches, 9:00 first dance, finish at 12

Would stop everyone getting so drunk! Also it takes away alot of the fatigue of the usual LOOOOONG wedding day
