I've got one of these (£85 from Pixmania.co.uk). It's the Kodak Playsport 1080p. The HD quality is amazing and you can put it in your beer :D

Honestly? Is this for gigs? Do not waste your money - This is for outdoor stuff.
and pays off with the marketing potential if it looks clear.
all you will get from a cheap camera is rubbish footage. Especially in low light.
I vote Canon, Sony or similar. I got mine for £100 on ebay which is a good deal and has excellent zoom.
Also great for self shooting.

Have you got any videos taken on it of a dark dancefloor?
I cant see that being best quality considering the lens size, auto focusing, zoom etc. Nice price but you get what you pay for after all.

I have a version of this.
For the money, it is very good. A few of the vids on my website are shot with it - not the laser show or other lightshow, but most of the others are.

I have just thought of something you'll need to consider when using the Playsport. The video is stored in mpeg-4 format so you need to make sure that you can either convert to wmv or edit mpeg-4.
edit: After I posted I realised that you are an Apple fan :Censored: so you won't have a problem :D :D
