Just got myself a meeting with the Manager at the City's most prestigious Wedding Venue (Yes, the one with electricity!) to discuss the provision of our service on a regular basis!

Nice one Pete!

I think wedding planners are the people to get to know in your local area not everyone googles for their wedding dj so the more avenues of work you can open the better.

Completely off topic (but some may find interesting).

The phrase you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours comes from Naval Discipline. When a sailor was to be flogged for doing something wrong it would quite often be one of his crewmates that was ordered to carry out the punishment, the idea was to stop resentment or wanting revenge on officers. So the sailors would agree not to be too severe when using the whip, but obviously it had to be realistic, so they agreed to scratch the surface ie just enough to draw blood but not laying it on as full as they could. Because sailors could be in the position of either getting flogged or giving the flogging the term 'You scratch my back this time and I'll scratch yours another time' became a common saying.

nice one

some of my best gigs have come through people associated with the industry, whether its other service suppliers or entertainers, or people associated with the venues. Very often if you are highly recommended in this way, they are alot more likely to book and less likely to shop around. You cant put a price on a recommendation and peace of mind!
