Hey all

I should be very happy - Sold both sets of My passive Cerwin Vegas & Warefdales yesterday/today for very good prices and also picked up a pair of RCF Art 322a's for a very good price.....

However - I'm not sitting here worrying that the RCF Art322a isnt going t be powerful enough :confused:

AM I being silly or do I need subs QUICK?

Just test them in an empty hall?
They are fine, but will be lacking in proper low end.

Get a 10 inch active and that will do.
depends how big your parties are?

Those RCF's should work fine on their own.

They do not have a massive low end due to size compared to a larger speaker. i have a pair.
A small sub would compensate that and not cost too much. Depends what sound he wants.

Yeah they will be fine my 310a without bass are ok for 100 people. A little bit top end cos of the small cone but still acceptable..

You should be ok for up to 150 people.. Without needing bass but does depend on the size of room too..

I think you misplaced a very important hyphen :D should it read?

they should be fine mate.
i have an active sub here if you wanna borrow it one night to see how much difference it makes. i personally think you will be fine wih the rcf speakers

I think Twinspin has these RCF cabs. I've heard them on their own, as was very very impressed by the bass response. I would however recommend at least one fifteen inch sub under these tops. Just my opinion. I'm not sure a ten would add enough. :confused:

Agreed :)

I think you'll still need a bin(s) for certain events depending on the style/size of it ! Good bargain there though for sure.

I have a pair of RCF 725's, 15", and they are ok for a fair bit of bass with great mid and top but if I want a real bottom end sound then I have to use a sub cab or 2.

I think it all depends on what you expect. The RCF's will certainly not create belly-shakin' bass/sub-bass.
I have a pair of RCF 725's, 15", and they are ok for a fair bit of bass with great mid and top but if I want a real bottom end sound then I have to use a sub cab or 2.

I think a decent 10 or 12 would be enough.
I use a 12 inch LD sub with my art 310's and thats fine.

as said it depends on what the user wants or is used too. they are good speakers and as loud as you get for that size/price.

Thanks for all the Info guys - I went to look at a 705as today - the shop is getting back to me tomorrow with a ''good price'' - lets see what happens :)
