It does seem more of a household/commercial gimmick for idiots who'll spend ridiculous amounts of money on a glorified light switch (bring back the clapper I say!)

It's nothing new, Lighting manufacturers like iGuzzini, Zumtobel and Philips have had similar (and better tbh) controllers out there for years
