Been looking for a while now. Budget of around £350-£400 max each.

I have seem the Lanta Neptune 18 which is a good little head, but would look a bit silly on the truss podiums and there is no way to secure it either.

The other one I am looking at is the QTX LUX-LD36W which has twice as many LEDs but is twice the price.

Any other suggestions within budget and spec? Remember, this is a wash moving head, not a spot.

Showtec Phantom Washes are worth a look - I have the spot versions and they're excellent. Adam H uses the washes too, so you may have seem them in his photos. They do a CMY version as well, which doesn't just use a colour wheel, so that you can mix any colour, much like a LED par.

I have the QTX36s and they are ok, I also have some old I Move 5Ws and I never use anything other than the Phillips Broadway lamps in them and the QTX are brighter in adition to the other benefits like weight, runnning cost and heat.

Showtec Phantom Washes are worth a look -

They look good Dan, but at 20Kg and over £500, they aren't really what I am looking for. :)

Can I ask why you want them, what you plan to use them for? I'm intrigued

Or am I being a nosey little bugger :D

As I am intending to use just 2 x Wizards, I feel I need some wash effect and as I won't be using an overhead system anymore, there would be no-where to put cans or panels, so I thought this would look great.

It is also for another project that I am working on that I can't mention at this point! ;)

You sure do know how to keep us in suspense :D

Sounds good, I look forward to seeing the finished project :beer1:

I wasn't looking at retail prices :p I understand about the weight though, two of the spots in a flightcase is a struggle to get in the van alone!
