I've got the unedited version but have been asked to play the clean radio edit any ideas where to get it?

iTunes et al has the non radio friendly versions ;)

I don't see what the problem is with it. All she says is chains and whips excite her. You hear and see worse on Hollyoaks.

But that's not the point. They want the non whips & chains version ;)

Ironically they've asked for the radio edit of S&M and the unedited version of Lily Allen not Fair

Looking around the net it seems like it's just a Radio 1 thing to edit this track.

& a costly licence, if you want to do it legally

are we going to get into another silly argument about licenses now if I respond to that?

C'mon - would you really not do a little edit for personal use to avoid offending some customers because 'by law' you need a costly license?!

I think not x

No silly argument whatsoever.... we just don't permit the promoting of illegal activities (whatever any of us may personally think) on this site.

The idea of the site is to help and advise people, and to promote good ethics and best practice - and saying what is and what isn't permitted by law is part of that. Whether or not someone chooses to go ahead and break the law after that is up to them.

Anyway, I don't want this thread hijacked by another discussion on this point. Paul is asking if anyone knows of a legitimate source for the track in question.

I don't think there's a commercially available version out there for the public.

Rihanna went ape with the BBC when she found out her track had been censored, even though it was her own label that did the censoring. (according to reports ive read)

Short of getting a copy direct from the label, or acquiring one of the promos from a radio DJ getting a legal copy will be like hens teeth.

We could always make a facebook group demanding the radio edit be released?...
