Does anyone else have problems with people mopping the floor just before you have to lug all your equipment out?

It seems to be happening more and more. They forget any health and safety rules, and that it's not ideal conditions for carrying heavy equipment. Most of the gigs I do are for students with not much common sense, they are not the best at mopping floors and leave them very soapy and slippery.

Just point out that they'll have to do it all over again to get all your footprints up once you've finished. That usually makes them see the light.

one particular place I play uses so much bleach one can smell it on the dancefloor during the gig!

At one place I saw them pouring the cleaning fluid onto the floor and just mopping it about with no water, very slippery!
