have bough a smoke machine the manual is a bit basic to say the least do you empty the fluid out after use....

any other mainatance you recommend after each use please

I have never emptied out after a gig , but if you are not going to use it for a few weeks , it does no harm to empty the fluid and refill with a mix of vinegar and distilled water , and let that run for a while , this cleans out the small bore pipe works ,and can prevent clogging up.
In fact it is worth while using the vinegar/distilled water every couple of months anyway , just keeps the machjine sweet.

Depends whether it is a fixed or removable tank. I empty our machines after every use, makes it alot easier when the tank can be removed rather than having to tip the whole machine upside down.
