Congratulations, Alan!

Thanks Angela--Unbelievable--and even the dodgy heater in my new ( secondhand ) Galaxy MPV which goes back to the Garage soon started to work properly on the way home.

Whats really funny is the nice guys at the DJ shop have been trying for months to sell me---------- a new Radio Mike.

WELL WELL WELL up early to sound test the new Radio Mike--

It doesnt work properly, wont switch to mute and back, also I cant now switch it off without taking the batteries out

Obviously dodgy components as its a digital / mute on and off push button switch RATHER than a manual one ala KAM and JTS which I use.

Trouble is--I cant ask for my money back and buy a Shure.;)

I was a little apprehensive when I fitted the batteries and noticed those THREE DREADED WORDS that strike a sudden feeling of fear in your heart--yes you guessed it------(scroll down)

:( Oh Dear!

Still, I'm sure whoever organised the raffle would be upset if they knew and would sort you out.

It's got to be worth a try.

WELL WELL WELL--the suns shining and it all got better just after my last post.;) ;) ;)

I spoke to the DJ shop and they were phoning EV, in the meantime not to be deterred I fiddled around with the on/off switch and discovered in fact you dont push the button as you would a button on an amp--full on the middle--you press with your right thumbnail on the right hand side of the button and amazingly it works fine.

I took it to the DJ shop to explain ( they havent seen or sold one yet) and they are checking with EV Technical that this is all ok and thats how it should work.

So my only advice is---dont buy one if you bite your nails--especially your right thumbnail :daft: :daft: :daft:

Ill post up a test report after the Saturday gig;)
