Facebook does not work properly - What is so good about it then?

Is it just me or when you click on things its hit and miss whether they actually go into the next section or not?

Thing like searching for people and using galleries etc. :confused:

I am trying to build up my Facebook presence but can honestly not see what is so damn amazing about it. It is really getting on my nerves now. :p
I understand it has good networking abilities but its boring, full of self obsessed boring people and it does not work properly :Censored:

Thats not including my friends on it (half of you) - just the general public telling me they have just brushed their teeth or taken a dump etc. wow.
As i say its probably me but im using a good computer and safari so I cannot see why. :confused:

I agree I find it totally unstable,
when Im talking to someone online it seems to drop out continuously and tells me people are online when their not.
IMHO far more unstable than MSN.

However a lot of people are totally addicted to it, and with smart phones constantly updating your status, you got to go with the flow!

I thought this was just me. Sometimes I click on things and it takes me to Google for no apparent reason! It shuts down FB and goes to another page, completely unrelated! Weird.

About 3 years go a made around £5,000 out of facebook just setting up a ''work'' account and adding event promoters as friends + adding there friends then adding there friends..... i would then set up more ''work'' accounts and get people talking about what we did.

You end up with 12000+ Facebook friends all working within the same scene & all talking about this guy and everybody seems to know ;) :)

A few nice jobs & one install came in but most want the world for next to no money so we stopped after 6months

There must be something being developed now which will super-seed it and blow it out the water IMO. As for twitter - no problems. I remember when everyone thought myspace was excellent not long ago.

Really? How much personaly information do people freely give to god knows who each day playing
stupid games that only serve to capture personal information you would not even freely give to a client or friend ;)

It all goes somewhere thats the whole purpose of Facebook, unless the creators
and developers are running a charity that unites people and helps world peace.
It has actually probably split more couple up than anything. Me included with my ex. :D (not me to blame i must add).

I would rather put my trust into word of mouth and reputation for my business and use it as a fad for now.
I do wonder how useful it can be for any amount of time (ie 10 years) but
I suppose people said that about google, or the internet for that matter.

Facebook can be a bit flimsy and personally I only use it for poops n' giggles, for the most part anyway. With regards to everyone being self obsessed and boring though, you're the one who added those people to your network !! ;)

I have noticed that its not reliable on my windows pc - but strangely on my linux pc it works flawlessly, but as i rarely use my windows pc anymore it dont bother me.

I have picked up a fair bit of work from it so am happy - as for all the bloody annoying games and bits have disabled most - it amazing how much quicker facebook is if you disable all the bits you never gonna use or that annoy you.

I do not really know what I am doing but giving it a shot anyway? I found the videos are good on youtube as you can link to all the netorks from one thing. Blog on blogspot too.

so far on Face book I have worked out how to set up a group, add a like button too my site and try and find people who are useful (like wedding planners). Its just getting on my nerves when you click something four times and it sits there doing nothing. :p


it amazing how much quicker facebook is if u disable all teh bits you never gonna use or that annoy you.

I use it to chat crap on a personal level with friends and stuff, but not for business

It can crash my browser sometimes but never had it take me to google or anything like that Darren!

I've had it take me to google before...

I also find the chat windows no longer work... and send the messages direct to my inbox

I have to click links around 6 times to get them to actually work ( Like profile links and other things )
