Charlie, there's a wonderful story told by Michael Bentine along broadly similar lines. I'll try to let you know of it when I have the chance.

In a nutshell, she was being transferred off a cruise ship near Norway and the paramedics dropped her in the sea, and couldnt get her out for about 8 minutes....t3 years old with internal bleeding before the mishap.

Surely it would have been less effort to click the link, and have a little skim read, then make that post?

Have to admit, I find it incredibly annoying when people don't bother to tell us anything and just give a link.

It's one of my pet hates.

No, becuse...

I find it incredibly annoying when people don't bother to tell us anything and just give a link. Why should you be expected to blindly click on it in a lemming like manner?

Curiosity? Inquisitiveness? A thirst for knowledge? :D :D :D :D

Steve, Angela, your remarks about links with no explanation are something I had never considered, but seem so obviously true. I shall try to bear them in mind.

When I went, poor ragamuffins like me had to pass the 11 plus, to get into the GrammarSchool. We were then promptly ostracised by those who failed.

Errrr, no, not always. ;) :o :o :o I did however love languages, and in a very small way, am a bit of a polyglot. ( Oo err missus!! ). Don't get me started on the importance of learning Latin and Greek, in order to understand English.

Reading Charlie, reading. That's the key.

One of my bad habits is that sitting at a table, I'll read the cornflake packets, and the sauce bottle labels.
