I have an equinox vega laser and the 100mW Violet (405nM) DPSS laser diode has stopped working.
Anyone know where i can get a replacement.

Take it in to be repaired by a pro, or back under warranty?
100mW is fairly high output and . How do you know the diode has failed?
My point is that if you have to ask this, you probably shouldn't be repairing it.

Your lucky it lasted a year :)
If you check the warranty out on ''cheap'' (i know they still cost £££'s) lasers your find the laser diode only has a 3 month warranty on it.... this is because 9 times out of 10 they turn / boost the diode's up to get the power out of them but in turn they run hot and die very quickly :(
Look on ebay for a replacement but be very careful as unless your spending £1000+ on a diode it will be turned up & be running hot.

I might be wrong (it's been known to happen!), but you should still be able to return any electronic goods after a year if they are defective, under EU law. Might be worth looking into that?
