Firstly, I need to say a massive thanks to Alan @ blacktie for all his help and information recently. I really have picked his brains about running as an agency and booking acts and tributes - so once again, thanks for all your help.
Now, Alan has sent me information on some of the acts I am looking for, but what I am looking for is recommendations from you guys if you have seen or worked with any tribute acts in the last couple of years. I lso obviously need to get a really good feel for pricing.
I need to get a selection of acts and prices for a project for next year, so your opinions are needed. Please don't just Google and give me a link - I do need acts you've seen please.
Many thanks.

The best comedian I have ever seen - be it on a cruise ship, Butlins, aboard etc has to be - http://www.playingtricks.co.uk/page2/page2.html
So much so, I tracked him down for Grandads 80th. It took ages because we didn't know his name or show name!

We filmed his whole act. I don't mind digging it out and sending you the DVD.
Another brilliant comedian...

<SHAMELESS SELF-PROMOTION MODE: ON>
Us? I already have a DJ, thanks. :D
I might be able to help - can work self-contained and/or alongside your DJ.
It's only a dash down the M4 from me to you (100 miles?), so shouldn't be an issue or add a great deal of cost.
I'm not a "tribute" however - but can do purely "Swing/Rat Pack" & "lounge" shows if needed. (ie mixed artists/eras, same style.)
General cabaret/party sets availabe too...most weddings I do seem to mix these styles up.
PM sent.
Us? I already have a DJ, thanks. :D
Can he do front of house desk and sound engineer and can he run martin light jockey syncronised with Buble backing tracks? :D
Not just your average Buble tribute where they turn up and sing a couple of swing songs, Everythings and Haven't Met You Yet in a nothing like Buble style. We have put some serious work into this.

I'm sure you have.
I did work with one recently though and he does the whole show as Buble, chat. accent and everything.

Good on him, but there are lots of poor ones about. The accent is the only bit missing with this one.
It's proving very popular. In fact I am becoming a sound engineer with a bit of DJ'ing at the moment with the way things are going. We seem to have found a niche between band and DJ. Singer DJ combo is really proving very popular as people can't afford bands and we cost the same as most singers on their own. Wedding fayres have really pushed it big time.
