My KAM Powerbar case is starting to show signs of wear and I think it's only a matter of time before all the staples come out and the zip gives up totally

Does anyone know of an alternate case to put it in. Preferably the correct size, custom made etc? Or is it a case (no pun intended) of getting Swanflight to make me one?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know how long I can resist the urge to reply that you can get a custom built case from Germany, but it's £280. :sofa:

Don't know the case, Paul, but if it's just a case of 'staples' coming out, could you not repair it (at least as a short-term measure)?

Actuallly, Paul, many a true word is spoken in jest. Have you thought about contacting KAM or Thomann to see if you can get one?

How long my case lasts is going to be really interesting.

Is that just the case yours came with or an actual hardcase? If it's the latter then have you a linky please ;)

It is repairable but as you've mentioned it will be a short term fix.

Good point about speaking to KAM, phonecall can't hurt.

Well I've had mine since July last year and I would say off the top of my head it's been zipped, unzipped, opened & closed at about 60ish gigs :D

Paul, sorry mate, I was having a little whimsy in some respects. :o Most unlike me, I know, but us old gits are like that. ;) :D

No, it's the standard case which mine came in, but since we've established that the two units are not simply the same item rebadged, I honestly wonder if the cases may vary as well. Mine's sort of a fabric outside, but some form of hard case inside that.

Will mine last longer? I'll tell you in six or eight months.

Vorsprung Durch Technik, eh? :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Edit: Blimey!!!!! Many a true word indeed!!!!!!     On Thomann's site, a hard case such as Paul requires is indeed about the same price as buying the kit I did!!

This may fit, think you will have to check the internal space with the suppliers to be certain.

Trouble is Paul, that box apears to be of square section. The bar is approx less than half as high as it is deep. I suppose the easiest way would be to blank off the bottom, with that one.
