Hi people,
I've got about £200 inc p&p towards a new mixer and wondered what you thought of this, I need one with at least 3mic sockets and 2 laptop sockets, I also need reverb to try and make people sound abit more respectable haha.

This is the mixer I've seen

What is the mixer to be primarily used for ? Singing/Karaoke

And when you say 2 laptop inputs, is this USB or just plain RCA ?

Thank you

Glenn

Yes it will be used every friday at my local pub for karaoke which doesn't need anything special to be honest. I don't want to spend too much as it not a nice place. At the moment I'm using the pubs system which is a XENYX 1202FX mixer, so I'd like anything abit better than that to be honest

I'd connect laptops using headphone to phono cables

Hmmm, do you want to stear clear of Behringer ? only i use a Behringer Mixer/Amp and have been using Behringer stuff for my karaoke for years with no problems or complaints for the money.

Their FX units are great for Karaoke and singers :)

I currently use a Behringer Europower PMP 1680S and could recommend this to you - or if you prefer a mixer without the amp then maybe one of the following:

Behringer XENXY X1622USB - at around £165.00

Or maybe

Behringer XENXY X1222USB - at around £160.00

...

Thank you

Unless the mixers USB facility means it's not needed I'd always recommend an external DJ soundcard, rather than the headphones out on the laptop.

I can highly recommend the DJ IO.

Way better.

Aren't we all! :D :D :D The 1832 would also be worth considering. ( Just don't bid against me and run the price up. :D :D :D )

You bidding on the one at £90 from Spalding?

No mate, bid away. I'm only watching at the moment. I have a powered one already, and I used a mate's unpowered one recently. My gear has changed a lot, and the 1832 now would suit me better.

Good luck.

Would you say £150 for a Xenyx 1222 is good?

The 1832's have all made £90-£120 on Ebay.

On the basis that a 1222 is £166 plus £10 p&p here:

Unless it's brand new and with warranty, No.

Just came across this thread using search. I've just bought a pair of RCF 315A Active speakers and I'm going to be using them with my laptop and a Numark Mixtrack Pro for playing music, but I also do a little karaoke so looking for a light, fairly decent mixer.

I've been looking at the X1622USB. Glad to see you rate it highly. I think I'll go ahead and order it. :)

Robbie.
