My Google maps account suspended!

I was having my weekly look through at the local area and my maps was not visible. They have suspended it.
Nice of them to email me to let me know - after all my log in is my email address is it not :(

Has anyone else had this?

Account suspended. Make sure your listings meet the quality guidelines. If they do, you can request reactivation.

Watch out if you have a name with key words in etc. as thats probably the reason :confused: Ie - Your DJ Mobile Disco southampton.
I also had one for bogfrog and Your DJ from the same location which is apparently illegal :whiteflag:

Everyone else has the same name so I thought it was OK.
I can only assume one of my competitors has reported me or they are having a clearout ;)

I have had some funny goings on with google places...

My logo was reported as "inappropriate" and removed????

Are you sure it's not some local competitor being an ass? I'd bet my bottom dollar thats the case :)

It does get allot of hits, but its a bit fishy that all the other "mobile disco southampton hampshire hire" names are still up there.

My Google maps location is exactly the same as my published address - I know they don't like you to shift to somewhere you are not - city centre etc.

Oh, dear, I got the same call a few weeks ago and told them where to stick themselves assuming that it was one of those con trick calls. Just going to check my Google maps now!!

Still offline after 2 attempts. i have checked all the criteria. :confused:

Since however my organic searches for my site have risen above the maps on all my key search terms :D

I called ad-words and they said they have nothing to do with maps and you cannot call or email anyone on the matter. Nice huh.
I suppose its a free service so I cant complain. :)
