It's time to consign the old IDJ2 to history or at the very least, desperate emergency back up.

So I'm looking for a play out system that Mary can quickly get to grips with and the DDS looks like it will fit the bill. As she easily got to grips with the IDJ2.

I'm open to offers and suggestions good people. So over to you

Many thanks in advance

Steve

DDS units are still holding their money well (I've been after one for a while now)... but the D2 Directors are to be found regularly for 100 - 150 quid (I've got two of those!)

I've recently had my DDS repaired (fantastic service from CRS1 - cheers!!), was only a simple button.

Its been rock solid for me, easy to use, nice screen, and would still buy one today.
I'm not sure what else is out there... I dislike the libraian, its a bit slow, but thats more of a planning problem (or just copy an MP3 to the drive and navigate manually).

I can't help with sourcing any, and I know the "Future Proof" System has been.... Discontinued..

When will they learn... a marketing strapline, brought to you by the same people that sold the Titanic for being unsinkable :muppet:

OK, I'm contemplating the move up to an HD Mix, so (@ Steve) - to part fund it... would you be interested in my current (fully digital) console?

This is in a wooden Kam 3-6-4 case with metal fittings;

Top 3U = a Numark Director D2

Slant 6U = a Numark PPD 9000 digital mixer and then the controller for the CD decks...

...which are in the bottom 4U section = Denon D-4000 twin decks.

The PPD mixer has a slightly dodgy crossfader, but I have a replacement crossfader from HTFR to hand, just haven't got round to fitting it yet... otherwise just plug the balanced outputs into your actives, as the digital EQ is just incredible!

I've also put a dropdown shelf at the bottom 4U section above the CD drawers which allows use of the keyboard for the D2 - or it to be folded out of the way if DJing from CDs.

Each unit item of that runs out at around £300+ each - I'm Looking for around £350 inc. P & P.

PM if interested, Steve... can get pictures if required.

I recognise that mixer ;) I had one just like it... sold on eBay a few months back... loved that mixer - but upgraded to a USB one :)

Thanks
