The other night I got into a discussion with some friends and we simply can't decide the answer to this...
but...
if Neo from the Matrix met a Jedi and they had a duel who would win?

Neo.
I thought Jedi can only use a form of hypnosis. If that doesn't work they are lost.
On that note.... I watched the 6 star wars films for the first time last month. What total rubbish!! Lucas should be ashamed of them.

Sorry to all the Star Wars fans, tried to edit it. I don;t want to incite a rebellion. Should have toned that down and said "Can't say I was impressed by them" instead.

LOL. Gotcha!
Matrix is a much more intelligent film, more layers of meaning/references etc. And if you follow the archetypes, then Neo = Christ = Kickin' a$$ Like A Boss. ;-)
(If you follow the archetypes, that is! (Several million athiests may disagree. )) :-)
(Matrix has better music too!)
ADDENDUM: Acme Matrix, however, is a pile of pants.

Not sure about Neo v Jedi but I was most upset when I wasn't allowed to have Spiderman in goal, Hulk in defence and Flash as a forward in my Fantasy Football team!

I was thinking about the question for a couple of days now here what I came up with...
Neo's sub-domain of the Matrix (the only place where his powers are effective) exists within the Universe domain.
The Jedi's domain extends to the whole Universe, of which the Matrix is a sub-domain.
Assuming the Jedi is aware he exists within a sub-domain, then he will also be aware that his powers can extend *outside* that sub-domain, and therefore defeat Neo by killing him in the real world
