Occasional power click through speakers

It's at a regular venue and heard it a few minutes ago when their air con came on.Could this be my issue(I have a ground loop isolator between laptop and mixer).

That's weird Mike because I never have any problems there. Don't forget though, I use a Ground Loop Isolator.

Don't know if a GLI will cut other things out, but years ago a venue I worked in had a motor which used to come in with a horrible whine over the PA.

Thermostats can be a real pain. Electric beer pumps aren't funny, either.

The one weird thing that I noticed about this particular venue that Mike has mentioned is that one sunday last year when I was doing a Wedding Fayre there, a guy turned up with a hire van that was full of the local wedding shop's display stuff and some dresses etc. He couldn't get the central locking to open up on the van and he was starting to stress out about it.

I was speaking to the Manager and in comes the guy all hot and bothered and moaning about the situation. The Manager said that if he moved the van back a bit and away from the doors, it should be ok??? Apparently it was something to do with their Wi Fi ?? Strangest thing I have ever heard but it worked!

Definately sounds like a problem with the electric supply. Washing machines are the same, they cause clicks and pops, I know because I used to have 8K of JBL and Peavey in my kitchen and we used to run the system full blast on saturday nights. I used to hear pops and clicks. The only problem is though that the cheap power conditioners aren't that great. A decent one like this below would help :

I know it's fairly expensive but it's got built in filtering so it could definately help to stop the problems.

They certainly have wifi at the venue

Ooh wi-fi, can't say about that, but quite a few things can cause them, lighting dimmers are also problematic.

Most likely a knackered cap' (suppressor) on a refrigerator that's on the same radial (ring main), or it could be an iffy starter on a fluorescent light fitting.
If you're susceptible to this sort of interference you may consider buying a power conditioner.
What is the venue like in respect of its condition ?
If the place is a bit of a dump the fault could lie anywhere.

I had this issue at a dry hire a couple of weeks ago and I rang Dan in a panic about it. Faulty electrics was the cause for my issue.
