(Sorry wanted (in a rush to get to a gig))

Hi,

I ordered a set of slimline uplighters off Thomann Sunday, paid monday (which included a £40 IBAN charge)
too be told that the :Censored: s have not got any in stock until the end of July

When I asked for a refund they said they could but not the IBAN charge.
Basically i now have too shop with them as I would be throwing away £40 is I did not.

Now this is not very professional is it :(

It did actually say the availability on the item which is a plus point on HTFR :p I just did not see it in the small print as assumed that it would not take two months too order some more!!!

Anyway - does anyone have a set of slimline pars going for a good price.
Give me a shout if the answer is yes :)

I would also be interested in some outdoor lighting of some sort and the 1/2 metre battons.

Why would you pay £40 for the charge- why not use a card?

Because they are based in Germany. IBAN is an international transfer.
I did not realize that you had to use paypal or bank transfer or credit card.

All of which incur fees. ;)

The unit are well priced enough however (if they were in stock).

Eh?  I've always used Paypal to order from them, and I don't think I've seen a charge. The price I've paid is the price on screen.

A credit card doesnt always incur fees, and if they do it's usually 2% tops, so unless your lights were £2000 then it surely would have been cheaper??

My card had expired so could not use it and IBAN was quicker. I wish I had not bothered.
I think you or them pay the fee. either way someone pays something like 5-10%.

So anyone got any par cans or lights for sale?

Hang on ... you ordered something that was showing low/out of stock on the website, and you didn't have the means to pay for it without incurring a surcharge, despite at least two such methods being offered, and it's the SUPPLIER'S fault? :o

Sorry for :OT: - it had to be said :beer1:

I use to IBAN money to a pal in Iceland and have never been charged more than £3.50 that £40 seems a bit much.

On topic, How many do you need??? (borrow not for sale)

I meant to ask Toby, which lights was it you were after from Thomann? Any chance of a link? I had a quick look, and didn't see any fitting the description.

I think I will rent a few until then as I want a complete set and cannot find a deal that matches it. :)

Thanks for the link, Toby. I know the beam angle is tighter, but would these have been any use as a substitute?

Toby - mine are the 20's not the 40's.

Peter - thanks for posting the link. I thought they were out of stock following my conversations with Toby. I just ordered another 6 which I thought I'd have to wait months to get :)
