How highly do you rate them ?
I've not seen one in the 'flesh', at less than 30 quid a pop they don't look half bad.

Digital Jack,
Used correctly in not massive venues they're great. The pic is 6 of them.

I can vouch that they are really effective i have replaced my par 56's for the colorbursts and tbh there is not a great deal of difference :D

I wouldnt go that far dave lol. Thy have a narrow(er) beam and are great for doing "columns" of light and highlingting features...no so much for the wash effect...

I don't know i used mine on my cross bar and tbh there wasn't alot of difference YES the par 56's are slightly larger spread BUT i feel the colorbursts are brighter

Hmm , thanks for the images...
Dave , would you say your par 56's would be of equivalent light output if the spread was the same as the LEDJ Colourburst (16 degree spread)......
I'm asking - on the basis that the light output will appear less when spread over a larger area .....You know what I mean...I hope.
Eek.

To be honest like i say i couldn't see a huge difference when i used 2 of them on my crossbar.
Yes the par can's may make a slight more spread but i felt they weren't so bright so it's a 50/50 thing lol

My honest opinion is if you have room etc, go for the pulse cans from CPC or the Thomann offering.
For me, I have limited vehicle space (and little knowledge :D ). The compactness of the colourbursts make them very attractive for me, together with the excellent simple to use lil' mix controller.
I have 24 pulse cans which I use for one colour uplighting. However I have had a number of enquiries wishing for changing colours throughout the evening. Also by having controller gives you greater accuracy for colour matching.
So the ideal solution would be a dmx controller for the pulse cans. However the next problem I come upon is vehicle room. To use the pulse cans I cannot comfortably fit everything in my vehicle (don't own a van), and as most of my venues are small / medium the colourbursts work for me. I also find the colourbursts a lot better for highlighting - fireplaces, columns, ornaments etc - due to the narrow beam.
In the real world, I don't think any customers would notice the difference between what cans you are using.
Does that make sense :daft:

Yes that makes sense , thanks.
I know what you mean about not owning a van, all my gear fits into a 3 door Toyota RAV4 and a roof box.
By the way - what do you mean by you have ''little knowledge'' ?
