All year enquiries have trickled in and bang, today goes into overtime. 14 disco enquiries - 9 booked, 1 probable and 4 either dates I am booked or no-go. One of the busiest enquiry days I have had.
That is not the weird thing though. Some of the venues I am getting booked for (not just today but for the past few weeks) are, not being snobby, not the sort of venues one usually gets booked for.
I have been booked for a community centre in one of the most run down estates in Newcastle, Workingmens clubs, Sports halls, university halls etc. Normally I never get bookings for such venues but lately there have been many enquiries where I think 'not a chance' and they go on to book. Many of these are also midweek.
The other weird thing is it has been quite 'simple' to gain these bookings. No lengthy selling myself speeches, no meetings just straight forward enquiry, give a price with details of add-ons, booking made and deposit transferred.
I know a lot may be thinking this is nothing strange, but for me it is the total opposite of what I am usually faced with.
