I've had this requested amongst the songs for a Wedding in two weeks. Believe it or not I've never had this requested before - I've only got the Joe Loss version. I've two questions

1. Is this the version you use?
2. Whereabouts would you throw this during the evening? before a party set? coming out of a party set? in the middle of a party set? what do you/would you play either side of it?

Yours

Confused - Kent? :D

That's the version I play. The only times it has been requested is either on my Request Fest nights or at a function that is the Ska/Mod/Northern Soul type thing.

I've never known of another version but that may be because I always play Joe Loss when requested.

Only version I know.
Simon, please do bear in mind that if it's been requested, there is a dance to it. They go round the room in pairs, in two concentric circles, regularly stopping to jump backwards and forwards.

As posted below, it has the subtitle: Finnjenka Dance.

     Sweet Baby J - there's a dance to it, also known as 'The Bunny Hop' according to your informative link

Cheers

Thanks everyone on the Joe Loss confirmation.

Given the above info, I guess It'd fit into any little section containing reaction dances, or maybe even kick off or end the 'party dances'
