Very unlikely - but has anybody got two or one going?

Cheers

You getting wizards as well now Charlie. I had one but sold it last week and now have a pair of Warlocks in excellent condition. Just need to program the dmx controller that controls my moving heads to handle these as well. Shouldn't be a problem. I'm off to the flightcase manufacturer down the road to get fittings for a pair of cases similar to the Swan flightcases tomorrow. I may be able to make more cases than I need and will advertise them on here if I get that far.

And me. I have been looking at these effects but would want to see one in the flesh first.

Charlie first however as its his post.

Indeed.

I liked the pictures of yours and a few others.

I didn't realise there was an 'extreme' - I thought they were just wizards?

why don't you just go for the warlocks from what i gather not much difference or do you want the name martin on the front

Sorry, I haven't heard of the warlocks?

Anyone got a link? It's not just about the name 'martin' on them but the overall build quality etc.

The pair of Warlocks I own are now being programmed in my boys bedroom, yes he is doing it for me as he is quicker than I am. In the middle of writing this he has just called me in to see a fantastic lightshow and I am happier with 2 Warlocks than 1 Wizard and at a cheaper cost. Actually £180 inc courier for the pair. I was the only bidder on ebay.

Geni Warlock Light (170645492476) Ebay. This is one of the pair I bought from same seller.

Check it out Charlie, they were in VG condition and just needed a little cleaning and dusting.

I had a warlock and it was a preety decent light with the effects etc

I did have a video of it but it got deleted of of youtube due to people saying about it having my kettle in view lol

Will have a dig around to see if i still have the video

Over all though it was built really well

Have a search on the forum Charlie, I asked about it a while back, but it was the SkyTec Warlock.....the Geni is the same unit though.

Why didn't you keep it buddy?

I was bothered about the weight as i'd never actually had any "Proper" weighted lights before and was worried about my bar etc BUT have recently had 2 exf600's on and its fine lol

Just adding the short vid to youtube again so ill update soon as its finished uploading but its not the best video bu it shows you it in sound to light :)

Like i said it's not the best and probeley wont do it any favours but i did it just as a quick show etc it's sound to light and to be honest i dont think i set it right :(

But you can get the general idea of what its like :)

Interesting ...

What's the spec on the geni / skytec units?

Do they have the rose gobo like the martins?
Are the gobos replaceable?
What bulb do they use?

Have you considered the EFX as an alternative? I recently sold my two Wizards, great lights but heavy and a pain to flightcase.

and a pain to flightcase.

What makes you say that J?

I've got the EFX's and I'm finding the gobos a bit boring.

I remember Shaun saying a similar thing.

You can usually pick up the original wizards up on ebay, they are great bits of kit. 2 of them will do 90% of our venues, nice and simple which is what I like!!

I think I paid about £450 for a pair of second hand ones, then about £200 on flight cases!!

£650 for a lightshow - what more could you want :)
