hi advice needed ive seen the american dj mega bars 1 metre would a few of these be any good ???:beer1:

I'm personally using the smaller ones which are great lights phase one one of the advertisers on here do a couple of packages.

I think if you're going to use bars then you need enough to totally surround the room, else it just looks odd.

I use led par56 and they look great. Usually around £30 each too. Never considered light bars.

As Danno says go for the Par cans

I bought 8 led par64's the other day but I find they do not have such a wide beam as my 56's. They are Eurolight 64's compared to Stairville par 56's.

Thoughts or opinions anyone.

Having posted a similar question not so long ago i went for the mega bars for several reason firstly the colour spread was wider, 32 colours that can be set at the touch of a button on one unit up to 66 units in a chain, via a single remote control no dmx controller needed im not saying you need one for the par cans but that was my understanding and most importantly takes up less space i can get all 12 bars including cables in a large holdall, taking them along to a gig on friday so hopefully will have some pics on saturday. The mega bars worked out around £75 each par cans anything from £39 each to £89 each.

Thomann led par 56 cans Black or Silver finish 34 euros, £30.29 free carriage if over 200 euros order Not master slave but I use a Stairville Master 1 controller with sound signal into it.

you could look for the discontinued half metre ones. You may get a bargain. as Danno says you need a few. i have a 1 meter one and it really throws out the light!!
