View Full Version : What would you sacrifice?

In order to get a business venture ( not necessarily a Disco ) off the ground? Beloved musical instruments? Beloved motor cars? Houses? Wife? Children? ( I'm not suggesting selling the last two, but they may be casualties in the drive for success :( :( )

So just what is expected to be thrown into the ravening maw of the ever hungry fledgling business? What did you sacrifice that you held dear? Do you regret the move, or would you do it again in a heartbeat?
In my case, it was a shotgun and two rifles, one of which it broke my heart to part with. :(

Many years ago, ( when I was still a wage slave ) I did the same thing, turning a shotgun into a chainsaw, and funnily enough, I didn't mind at all, because I didn't like that gun much. I do however love the chainsaw. :D :D :D :D :D :D

And what is completely off limits, and may never be put into the pot?

OK folks, away you go, over to you.

God your up early. The early landscape gardner catches the worm. :)

This one is simple - weekends :D I sold my impreza for the van too.

I assume you did not loose a wife along the the shot gun huh? Or did you use the chainsaw?
I bet you do allot of patios - maybe thats why your up so early.

If you dont use it and can live without it, then get rid of it is my opinion...its prospectuve cash sat there doing nothing.

If i had a mortgage and it was a business venture that i was pretty certain would succeed then I would look at a re-mortgage....but it would have to pretty much be a dead cert to put someting on the line that affects the family.

Up early Toby, but shan't be outside for an hour yet. :( :( :( Isn't it funny how Monday morning is the time to tie up all those loose ends that appeared over the weekend? ;)

And you've been watching too much Brookside. No, Jeanette isn't buried under the patio. :p :D :D :D :D :D

Devil's advocate mode: But what if you might want it again, and it would be harder to replace than sell?
