View Full Version : ECHO, Echo, echooooo !

I've been booked to do 9 (well 8 now) discos for foriegn students this summer, did the first one last night and although went well, the hall has no furniture, curtains or anything. It also has a very high ceiling, so had terrible echo even before I started. I'm using behringer actives (these (http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/B212D.aspx)) that can be used as floor monitors, and no subs. :eek:

What would you suggest for cutting down on the echo ?

Probably the opposite would be better, have the speakers higher but angled downwards so the sound isn't directed towards the ceiling and walls so much. My speakers have that option built into their pole mounts, but you can buy a tilt attachment for speaker stands.


(Hold on, I can hear an echo from another forum :D )

Yes I am :) - they've sounded great for everything I've used them for, and that tilt has come in handy on a few occasions, it really does make a difference.
