'Bruv' - Chavvy to the extreme. I hate it when someone says "Alright Bruv". I'm not your 'Bruv', I don't even know you and if I did know you....why are you calling me 'Bruv'? I have one brother and that's enough for me.

'Fella' - One of the worst. Why is it that more and more people seem to be saying this? "Cheers Fella"..."Alright Fella"..etc etc... Yes, I am Male, I'm a Man, A Bloke etc etc....and to some, yes...a Fella but what is the point? It would probably sound stupid I guess if it was said how it is supposed to be said and that's "Fellow". At my residency, the General Manager always says "Cheers Fella"....AArrgghhhhh!!

So...there you go, I've started the ball rolling. Let's have some more.
The reason I mention these 2 examples is that I have been called both of them over the past 24 hours.

Life's too short- people will often say stuff you dont like or dont agree with, but hate is a very strong word- what's the point of getting annoyed by it?

My main hate at the moment is 2012 pronounced "twenty twelve" this really gets my goat as in 2008 people didnt say "twenty oh eight" so for future reference its pronounced "two thousand and twelve"

'What are you playing next ?' while trying to look at what I have cued up or in my sidelist. Sometimes change it just to annoy them if they go away before the next song !

" The function room is upstairs, and the lift's broken".
" No you can't have access till they've finished in about two hours."
( And ten minutes after those two hours) "Aren't you ready yet? "
" You'll have to leave room for the band. "

Agree,as long as the desired message has been put across and understood thats OK.
What I find Annoying is a thick set Scottish Accent that I cant understand.

I get annoyed by a few sayings here, but starting to use them myself now !
'I bet them/won them' meaning beat
'you know what I mean ?'
'what's the story ?' (I'll never use that one !)
'like' at the end of every sentence
'avail of this offer' I know it's right but just sounds wrong to me ! I always thought it should be 'advantage of this offer'

"Darling" is another one but in a certain context.
For example - There's a programme on TV at the moment called "The Hotel Inspector" (or something like that) and the inspector is a woman that uses 'Darling' around 20 times during the show. It's a posh thing I think but I find it condescending.

i get vexed when people ask/request a song in a negative way..i.e.

"have you not got the shufflin song"

and often reply in an equally negative manner,

"no, i have got it"
