CA-8 and UC-3 Extension Leads?

Does anyone know of, or willing to make me up a couple of extension leads for these?

Trying to cut down set up time and and currently I spend 10mins taping both plus DMX cables onto my rig (although power and DMX between fixtures are pre-wired).

I need:

1 x CA-8 Extension 1.5m
1 x CA-8 Extension 2m
1 x UC-3 Extension 1.5m
1 x UC-3 Extension 2m

I Believe the CA-8 and UC-3 are virtually the same, although I could be wrong.

You can buy them over the counter, they're just Stereo 1/4" jack extension leads, the controllers are nothing special.

I've never taken apart a UC3, but from memory the CA8 is literally just three buttons, two LED's and two diodes. Pressing one button shorts the sleeve to the tip of the 1/4" jack, another shorts the sleeve to the other point in the 1/4" jack and the third button shorts all three contacts in the jack together (via the diodes). The LED's are just wired across the switches.

Or in other words, it'd also be very quick to make your own substitute if you wanted to make a control box for multiple ACME/Chauvet fixtures and run a single cable up to the bar and break it out to a number of master units.

Getting 12v to the fixture on the bar might be fun (though I reckon there's probably a 12v rail you could draw off inside most fixtures).

I know who it was,thank you. ;) I didn't publicise it, because I know you're now very busy offering technical support to all English forum members North of Harrogate, case building so that Scottish members no longer have to disassemble their entire playout case to plug in the vocalist and his minidisc player, and doing missionary work in the West Riding on Wednesday.

This could be the perfect solution for you if you have power and DMX links already up on the rig.

American DJ do a Wireless UC3 controller which has 4 outputs from one remote. i.e 4 seperate channels and you could master / slave for each of those channels.

By the time you have messed about getting the bits and soldering this might be worth a punt ?
