I had a prom last night. I found it quite difficult but a bit mic work and encouragement did the trick. 16/17 year olds are used to having 'house parties' with a few beverages or even going into nightclubs in town. Trying to entertain a room full of sober hormonal teens with headteachers and staff gorping is challenging IMO. I pulled it off in the end with a rammed dancefloor. Of course, the best song of the evening was the Hokey Cokey. :p
Getting drunk tonight at the staff party. Free bar with a nice meal. ;)
Standard school disco on Friday.
Surprise 50th on Saturday at a large function room at the Hilton. They are providing a 'large' sound system. I'll be there early morning to install the mood lighting.
On Sunday I've got a crazy kids bash!

Proms are possibly the easiest events to do IMO. First one of a run coming up last night and it was rammed all night. Making the floor shake with all the jumping.
Very important to get on the mic, drop the music to big tracks to get them to sing along etc. So much fun, I was buzzing after it.... Did you play the hokey cokey??
