Ok guys due to a recent hip problem I have sold my beloved T.Amp and need to replace it so looking to cut down on weight.
I am torn here and hopefully looking for advice, looks like it's going to boil down to a choice of 2 amps
The T.AMP was a massive 23kg :daft:
So looking to replace it with either a Behringer EP2500 Weight =16kg
W Audio Horizon 1100 (1u) Weight = 10kg
Head says W Audio, Heart says Berry :)

Which weigh how much?
Less than 23Kg in a lot of cases.
My QSC K10s are 13Kg I think..;)

I made the switch and don't regret it! - Not the cheapest option though unfortunately and if you've got decent passive cabs then you'd be hard pushed to justify replacing them.
You should check out the new Class D digital switching amps, less than half the weight of the ones you suggested.
Behringer iNuke 3000 (http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/NU3000.aspx) - 3.3KG!
Peavey IPR 3000 (http://www.peavey.com/products/proaudio/poweramps/ipr/index.cfm/item/116950/IPR%26trade%3B%26nbsp%3B3000.html) - 3.6KG!
Crown XLS Drivecore - XLS 2500 (http://www.crownaudio.com/amp_htm/xls_drivecore.htm) - 7.1KG
Edit: There are lower wattaged (is that a word?) models in each series if they're overkill for your needs

Thanks for your input so far Guys, Just like to mention I don't intend going with Active speakers at the moment I'm happy with the RCF's (passive) I currently have :)

Sorry Paulie, bit of a pointless post, already stated I don't want to go active at present and lighter was the option not heavier :daft:
