I use a KV2 audio system at one of my residencies and they sound fab and pack a punch :)

Two satellites and a bass bin, all active and the satellites are 1000Watts each !!

Will try and find out the exact model numbers.

Thank you

Glenn

Well if the old saying of you get what you pay for is true with these, they must be very good speakers, possibly close to the best you could buy.

I've had a look at them and they do look very nice.

Both the KX range and EX10's / 12's tops sound great, but for that money they really ought to! I'm of the opinion there are better products on the market if one has that sort of money to spend. I'm thinking of the powered offerings from Turbosound, Fohnn and the like.

One really cannot apply that sort of logic, it is a fallacy, especially in audio. One such example...

They do look rather splendid, mind!

Regarding Kv2, there have also been reports that the clarity and cleanliness of the sound seems to collapse at a certain threshold when driven a little hot, something that a manufacturer or salesman will neglect to mention, of course, in the comfort of their own showroom.

An aside, also, Darren. Have you managed to pick up that USB - DMX interface, yet?

I heard several different systems at PLASA a couple of years ago and although they are very very loud, they seem to lose all integrity at said volumes.

I am glad you've been able to shed some light on that, Darren. It does seem to confirm what I've heard, that is regarding the larger format ES range in particular. Clearly the issue is fairly typical and does not discriminate, although one would hope that the problem has been / is now resolved.

Sorry to hear that Darren. What particular interface was it in the end, was it one you previously linked to? By all means update the other thread if it keeps that one flowing, it may be of use to another thinking about taking the same route.

Seen a KV2 system on ebay starting at 99p earlier this evening. I would love it but it will be priced out of my range and the cabs are too heavy for atheritis in my hips. Too big for me but a fantastic system.

I have heard KV2 audio used in a couple of different situations and they are brilliant

first time i heard them. I was working with a big 8 piece function band with a full KV2 Audio system and it rocked the place as well as sounding fantastic.

2nd time. I went away for a weekend to the Haven Holidays site Golden Sands on a fri-mon. They have a KV2 Audio system installed in their main Showbar and again fantastic even with live sound, vocals and pre-recorded music.

All the KV2 Audio stuff ive heard gets a big thumbs up its very nice stuff.
