I watched a video on Youtube and Mike from Phase One says it is brighter than the Kam Powerbar and it's probably easier to fit into a smaller space.

What do you think?

A bit industrial with the barn doors?

Video here.

Omg, 18 x 8w! What are you looking to light up .... Wembley??

It's a 25 degree beam which is quite narrow.

I'm not keen on the barn doors but perhaps they can be removed?

I have literally just bought 4 x adj tri 7 which should be the same output as a power bar albeit with the flexibility to do uplighting too. I will be running them this weekend for some 'around the dance floor' uplighting and next week too in a higher room.

The seem to be ruddy bright so I will report back ....

Be good for band hires but not for me to use personally.

I don't like the look of it and I think it's a bit expensive. I have 2 of these below. They have 192 led's in them but not sure what the power is on each of them. All I know is that they are very bright. I match them to the colour of the uplighting if I am doing it and it fills the ceiling with the extra colour. If I'm not doing uplighting then I just set them to go sound to light and through the inbuilt programmes. They are only £99.00 each too.

I like it I've done a few places recently with large plain white ceilings and used 2 LED panels trained up on them, static violet at the start of the evening, then as things heat up on the dance floor sequenced and strobed. has worked well you could do that with just this one light, even use it pointed down on the dance floor for a first dance then point up when your moon flowers etc go on, you could fold the barn doors right back if there not needed.

Dunno, which is why I asked.

It looks like an iColor with LEDs fitted insted of the halogen strips. Hence My comment. We used iColors for quite a while. I like the idea of an LED equivalent.

I'm also a numpty.

I hadn't watched all the video befor e I made my comment.

Mike references the similarity with the iColor within the first few minutes.

& of course Acme & LEDJ are both Prolight brands, so it looks likeI've answered my own question.
