I was thinking of buying one of these for a centerpiece for my lighting truss, does any one use these and if so what do you think. Any bad pints good points?

For the money, it looks like a good value, retro, room filling effect.
I don't think you can go wrong for £100 to be honest.

its a eurolite z50..... 2x 120v/300w lamps, sound activated

Looks similar to one of the soundlab lights, no idea which one.
Just a question Liam as I might be interested - is it that fast all the time? Looks pretty manic! Have looked at the Prolight Matrix discharge lamp which is a bit similar - would make a good centrepiece anyway!

its pretty much that speed all the time, as far as i know... not much controlability with that kind of fixture :( i'll double check though
soundlab do indeed make a similar light.. not as good though

The response behaviour of the light effect can be regulated by a rotary regulator
aha... theres your answer :) i honestly couldnt remember... not had anything like that here for a while

I would back abysshire on this one even though I like chauvet stuff this light unit is much better the other is more for installation in a venue

indeed... the rotating ball type fixtures are more suited to roof installations in retro bars :)
