Well at least you have enough time to play all the "must plays" & you can cherry pick from the rest. Nice list.

I was in Yeovil and the PC at the local jobclub wouldn't let use search for anything like that, it picked up the word scat ! Found out by not being able to search for Somerset College of Arts & Technology ! :Censored:

Just out of interest to the newb here.....you get sent a list like that and at a glance you can roughly tell how long it will take to get through it?

How many tracks to you reckon you guys get through on an average night? (I appreciate everyones "average" night is different)

Well if you use basic maths, since most modern songs are three to four minutes long, as a sweeping generalisation, that's fifteen to twenty songs per hour, if you aren't interrupted by things like speeches, presentations et al.

So, if you had a grueller 7 till 1, you'd expect to be looking at 100 to 120 songs. By the same token, with an easy 8 till 11.30, you might play as few as fifty.

Then again how long is a piece of string ? Some songs are longer or shorter so really it's not possible to say how many you can play.

VDJ can work them out for you if you have played them before, or if you put a list of songs into the side bar with some that you have played and some you haven't then it will give you a "at least" time. Really useful for when your hitting the last half an hour and you want to work out a rough running order and if you have a certain last song to play at a venue where the manager is stood by the light switch at 23.59 :)
