Hanging Brackets for LEDJ Colourbursts or Ideas / Links?

A while back I made myself some little stands for the Colourbursts, nothing special but they do the job well enough. They are wooden blocks that have been painted black and have long bolts through them to secure them to the lights. I am no DIY expert and have decided to do away with them.

I was playing around with the lights earlier on and decided to see if the lights could actually have 2 hanging brackets secured to them so that they open up and are more sturdy when placed on the floor. I tried it with one unit and it works much better in my opinion.

The problem I have now is that I have a few units that do not have any brackets at all on them so I need to get some. I have had a look about on the web and can't seem to find anything suitable so wondered if anyone on here knew of anywhere I could look?

I need about 20 of them and the dimensions of the Colourbursts are 125mm x125mm x 145mm (85mm without bracket).

Any suggestions?
Does anyone use Colourbursts without the brackets and wants to get rid of them?

This is SO weird Gary - I did EXACTLY the same thing when I first got my Colourbursts. Searched EVERYWHERE for the brackets. No joy - So let me know if you find anything.

One of the guys at DJ Kit rang them for me earlier and Prolight don't supply the brackets on their own. He said he is going to try another place for me as apparently another company do a copy of the Colourburst and may do the brackets on their own?

If you know any metal fabricators/welders near you. (any industrial estate normally has one) just pop in there and tell the bloke what you are after and they will knock them up for you.
most metal comes in various lengths, widths, thickness etc
Maybe he could do it in aluminium.
I assume its just a case of two bends and a couple of holes drilled for each bracket and one bracket slightly longer than the other.
To be honest bud, if you can source the metal and you have a vice, or access to one, then you can have a bash yourself.
Washers and bolts are easy to get hold of.

Yeah, any decent local metal fabrication place will be able to make these for you.

Can't recall the name of the place now, will have a look and see if I can find it.

Your best searching for "steel fabrication" in your local area and see what comes up, most industrial estates will have a steel shop of some sort.

I think they were about £6 each ish.

Alan, I like the look of those, they look very tidy and hide the cables nicely
Having said that, I dont suppose too many people take that much notice.
But at £6 each that is peanuts.
Makes me think I ought to go see the guy I use who does my aluminium trilite cutting and see if he could knock me up a few hundred of those powerdrive type par can holders. They cant come to much money and I reckon i`d shift them easy on ebay at £12-£15 a pop.
He has helped me out on some staging and bits and he is pretty clued up.
Once he sets machines up for cutting, bending and drilling its a case of charging by the hour for knocking them out.
The guy next door does powder coating and we have had some outdoor steel stage supports done for not a lot of money, they come out looking ace.

Reckon it's worth a go then?
