Just got the kids to sleep last night at 10 o'clock when the phone starts ringing.
Turns out to be someone ringing for a quote !!!
Not the first time either, the record is 11.45 !!!
Does anyone else get this ?
I wouldnt dream of rin ging a shop at that time of night :lightning

Who has ever heard of a business having an ansaphone on during the normal business hours day, barmy!

Normal working day is 9am - 5pm, and Will has his voicemail on from 8pm - 10am (ie. overnight) so what's wrong with that? Presumably Will is out doing functions from 8pm till late, and who wants to be waiting for phonecalls at 9am when they didn't get to bed until 1am!! :teeth:

I think most punters think that DJing is a second job and only expect to get you in the evenings. Plus, customers have more time to phone when they get back from work themselves.

I can tell you---a lot of people dont like leaving messages---you would be surprised

I have to say Angela its the REAL time wasters who phone very late :mad:

Let downs, rate tarts, other entertainers who need to cover stuff cos they have screwed up etc.

Our customer lines are open from 8.00am to midnight, 7 days a week.

We don't use answerphones/voicemails as we don't believe they are what the Customer wants.

Our DJ support lines are manned until at least one hour after the end of the latest finishing function on any given night, after which they are diverted to a Manager/Director on-call in case of emergencies.

I don't have an answerphone - neither in the house nor on my mobile. If I can't answer - I can't answer. If the person wants to speak to me - they can ring me again should they wish and if I'm in, I answer. If the wife is home, she answers. If I'm at work and the mobile goes, I answer (unless unable to) and call back when I can speak properly.

The answer phone used to be set for 10-10, possibly should re-consider this due to the comments, after all it doesn't hurt.

The switchboard allows you to speak directly to myself or edwin, or option one is the "office" which then basically phones us both, and you get who ever answers the phone first.
