Not exactly mobile disco related, but I'm after some advice and your experiences.
For the last 4yrs or so I've been using a pair of Panasonic RP-HC30 Noise cancelling inner headphones at my day job where I have to concentrate amongst a sea of irritating, noisy, inconsiderate... colleagues (forum censor would have a field day if I put what I usually call them in here :D ).
The noise cancelling feature on these headphones is great, as is the general level of noise isolation provided by their earplug style design and the sound from them is generally quite good as well (for inner ear headphones). They've served me well, but the cables are now wearing out so it's time to replace them.
I have bought my Sennheiser HD25's into work a few times, and while the sound isolation on these is actually better than the noise cancellation on the Panasonic's, I prefer having discrete headphones at work - and I'm also always a bit worried about someone nicking such a high value item.
I've looked at the Sony range of noise cancelling headphones (of which there are a few from £30 up to about £90) and the Audio Technika for about £74, but obviously don't know a) how good they sound and b) how good the noise cancellation is.
I've also had a play with a cheaper pair of Sennheiser inner ear headphones for about £20 which provide a reasonable level of sound isolation and good sound reproduction for not a lot of money.
Does anyone have any good advice/experience? I'm principally trying to block out speech type frequencies.
