I am offering a service where I put a marquee in a function room.
It's really popular for conference type venues as they look very formal.

I have a Massive venue to fill and need a good contact who can offer competitive rates.
I will continue to use Danno for dancefloors and drapes etc.

I know its a long shot but does anyone know a marquee company who is not VAT registered :p

Thanks in advance.

Don't know if this is any help but I know these people and they are very good and helpful.

I've had a few jobs where people have hired a marquee and asked for a disco recommendation, one good turn deserves another ;)

Toby have a look at either http://www.bennettsmarquees.co.uk/index.php or http://www.westernmarquees.co.uk/ I have worked with both but not sure on the VAT front

Do you actually need a marquee company?
Isn't it just drapes you need?

You'll struggle to find one that isn't VAT reg'd as they'd only be able to do around 10-15 jobs a year, if they're doing the whole package with furniture etc.

I can do a full room with door traps etc. up to 4m wall height, just not the ceilings.

Thanks everyone - I have contacted a few people.

Its amazing how many companies do not allow for an outlook email link. I hate filling out forms
especially when you cant attach the floor plans etc.
I appreciate that they need precise details but forms are so time consuming :(

Need a whole marquee and its a big one!!
I am getting allot of requests for drapes now so 2012 should be a good one. Just need some footage of floors as brides are not wanting to spend the cash without being sold the dream effectively enough :D Looking forward to next week ;)

I would just go down the darping route mate. It might even work out cheaper and be more bespoke and fitting to the venue. Otherwise they might as well just go and have a party in a marquee rather than go to that venue? Just a thought?

Toby - you may struggle to find any marquee company who can put a frame up with just 3.5m ceiling height!

I may be missing something here Toby but you dont say why you need a marquee.
Surely a decent Marquee has drapes inside anyway- given that the room is inside (by the nature of the fact it's a room) surely you dont need the canvas element and could just drape the room???
