Polystyrene

I've popped this into chat as its non disco related.

I'm on the scrounge for any unwanted polystyrene as ive been looking into making custom viverium backgrounds for reptiles etc.

Now it doesn't have to be any shape etc the only thing i'm not after is the beanbag ball things lol

So anything from sheets to packageing would be perfect and as i'm on the scrounge i'd prefer it to be FREE lol :sofa:

Yes i could go to hardware stores and buy it BUT im after quite abit as this will be the first time i do this so mistakes will happen and could end up being quite costly if i bought it :(

I'm not asking anyone to deliver/courier it as again this would be abit silly as cost wise would be worse then buying it locally

So anyone that has any that they no longer need/require from either insulating rooms, packageing, packing etc would be excellent.

What are you going to cover it with Dave? I'd imagine most reptiles would make short work of polystyrene, so it will have to be something pretty substantial.

Cover it with tile grout first to create the effect and shape then paint it over with non toxic paints then clear water based varnish.


Im going to create one in my snakes viv first as its smaller lol
