just wondering what YOu guys think of the van damme neutrik cables? ive ended up running neutrik connectors with some skytronic cable for the last year and twice now ive lost sound level to one speaker caused buy the cable being bent over my flightcase slightly nothing harsh either. as i need now to buy 2 more any way for running my k sub as its meant to be linked back from my tops. i might as well buy 4 new ones. any suggestions

Van Damme / Neutrik are decent cables. I use these cables on my RCF system. If your after some id recommend this shop.

If you are using them to link Active speakers you will need Microphone XLR - XLR cables.

I get my Van Damme /Neutrik cables from there and they are well priced.

I've been using DAP Audio and IMG Stageline cables for years with no issues, could be a cheaper option if you're on a budget.

They've been trampled on by bands, coiled around arms and wrists by singers, run over with flightcases and still work flawlessly.

Nothing beats klotz cable and neutrik connectors. Will last a life time!

oops sorry just habbit rather than me being lazy though i do try to read my posts before posting :(

any way have just ordered 4 5m xlrs from the site mentioned at a reasonable price hopefully these will last and i might even get an increase in sound quality too, and can link back to my k sub as it should be too

Have you tried these yet? Has it improved sound quality at all?
Id be interested to know as I use budget cables with neutrik ends which could be causing me a problem that Id put down to something else.

Generally I have found over short lengths the sound quality is the same. Where you do benifit with the better cables and connectors is the reliability. When the cables start to fail you get pops and crackles from the system.

yep tested twice now id like to think they sound better :) but the quality of cable is noticeably better hopefully i wont find myself with a duff cable every so often

yeah it shoudlnt affect the quality of sound, but reliability is key for me :)

yes my main stock is the Proel Livewire range, mainly the 6m xlr to xlr black, i probably have about 80 of them. I paid about £4 each by buying in such high quantities too

They have a lifetime warranty too if you send off the warranty card! Brilliant!
