Sorry in Spain. With the girlfriend.

Paul has 12 too.

They are amazing! For the price I cannot say any negatives and they stack on top of each other almost making the thickness of 1.5 units.
My girlfriend said "I thought you bought 6" as it looks like 3 so great for storage which is an important aspect of my set up.

Go for it would be my advice. Nice and bright too. Just stick them on slave (one touch and they stay on the setting they were turned off on) if using a controller. :) You can daisy chain them for power ad they have an out but I would just get duplicate power supplies as thats more reliable. Being two feeted and very adjustable they stand up very well and are very solid (unlike the old stairvilles or pulse lights).

If you want something extra special go for these - much smaller.

If am looking very carefully at the Tri Led ones, as I'm a fan of this style of unit, since getting my Stairville Powerbar. These appear to share many characteristics, so these would be my first instinct.

There are pictures in the gallery at the moment of the LEDJ version of these being used as uplighters, check out the threads by Dave, DH140770.

My apologies. :o :o I had been looking at LEDJ kit in a CPC catalogue, and was sure they were the brand. Oops.

4 I think? I use this for controlling them and it works brilliantly. The smaller version is probably a better bet:

Have a look at gear 4 dj's

Its all probably made in one factory and just rebranded like everything else.

No worries, got to say that I am very impressed with them, colours are nice and they are very bright.

If there is a downside, it is that because they are built like battleships they are quite heavy, so 6 in a bag with associated leads is quite heavy, so for general uplighting I might try and get some lighter units.

Just to (knid of wrap this up), they emailed me back...with the manual attached.

The unit can run in 3, 4 or 8 channel mode:

In 3 channel: 1 is Red, 2 is Green & 3 is Blue
In 4 channel: 1 is Master Dim, 2 is Red, 3 is green & 4 is Blue
In 8 channel: Its bloody complicated and depends on other variables set by the channels.

The good news is that the Lil Mix operates on 4 channel: the bad is that dimmer is on channel 4 and not 1.

ADJ do a basic 3 channel controller in the right config for £40, so thats a possibility for dry hires.

Edit...the Chauvet Obey 3 is a similar unit and is a tenner cheaper from gear4djs

I'm trying to find an led can or was that is about equal to a PAR64 1K can. Or close to one. I'm looking at getting 8 of them as stage washes. Wonder if any of these would be close? For those who have them. Thanks.

This would be my recommendation Callum. As far as I can see it's virtually the same unit as the ones on my powerbar, and they're :Censored:ing bright.
http://www.thomann.de/gb/stairville_led_flood_tri_panel_7x3w_rgb.htm
but there's a problem. It's been out of stock till recently, and sold out virtually immediately.
Scenario 1), they're only getting minimal stock delivered, and they're shifting as they come in.

Scenario 2), they're selling like hot cakes, and simply can't get stock fast enough.
Which one is closer, I have no idea.

Just to resurrect an old thread....

Toby, when using the Obey 4, does everything work exactly as its labelled up...sliders work what they say...press green, get green etc etc?

Cheers
