I know we all post stuff like this from time to time, but boy is next year getting busy already! It was late December / January for me last year, but already up to 10 confirmed weddings and counting!
How many of you use UK-Disco? Don't get me wrong, love being here, but my stats say I haven't had a single hit from the directory here! However with my silver listing on UK-Disco, I get a text message with every enquiry to those listed who DON'T have a paid listing.... so that's 5 of next years wedding I got because the show the client actually contacted took to long to get back! Highly recomended!

Funny how my listing on the directory here says no PAT or PLI provided, when it has!

How many bookings do you need from this site to recoup your investment?

Surely the only investment here is time (seeing as how it's free). Have to say though, I get absolutely no work from here myself. I wonder why it is that other sites prove more popular for me - aside from the fact that I can pinch clients from other shows before they get to them! lol!!!

I think it probably depends how MDD fares in the search ranking for your area, if I play the punter, and search for Disco Herefordshire then I come above MDD, UK Disco or most of the other places`so (hopefully) that means that the punter will come straight to me. Therefore MDD generated enquiries are likely to be few and far between as I'm a victim of my own success. Having said that I've earned £600 from this site in direct bookings, and networked and been able to pass work on to at least three other DJs, so from that point of view its a resounding success. If you're getting enquiries but no bookings, that says more about your own sales skills, than the site. :)

At no point does the affordability of a site comes into it
But advertising of the site does come into it, In every area I look at when looking for discos it does seem that the MDD has not risen above the others, For a premier free site like ours Im a little disappointed. But unlike those sites we must pay for, we dont go out to get PAID hits to keep us nearer the top so in a sense its dog eat dog. My site has regular visitors, but I push it no more than word of mouth. This site I would presume is a wondereful source of responsible discos time we pushed the word out a bit harder again if everyone helped mayhap we all gain a little more work via it
