Next week I am DJ at a Singles night, I have not done one for a couple of years.
Does anyone have suggestions for songs that can get the people together? I don’t want “slow” songs to start with, just songs that need people to dance as a couple etc.

Just do what you usually do!!!!
People will get together anyway if the night is going well. Just get them on the dancefloor and let them do the rest.

Just don't play

"Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake
"Single" by Natasha Beddingfield.
"Ridin' Solo" by Jason Durelo
"Me Myself and I" by DeLaSoul
or
"Nice Legs Shame About The Face" by (The?) Monks

There's also a joke about a certain Divinyls' song, but I'm not sure if it's appropriate. :zip:

I djd in edinburghs berry suite ( singles club) for 13 years best way approach it i found was to do it like a wedding... lots of social type tunes and a lot of slow to midtempo mixes 3's and 5's in a row, make a point of playing requests quickley and let mother nature take its course.. and this is why i never want to hear lady in red or i just called to say i love you ever again in my life... hope it helps
