was just reading a thread on here and thinking dangerous i know,
but why cant a company make a really simple product designed especially for active cabs
i know there is the ld version and a couple of others?

this is my idea why cant they make the receivers like a xlr dongle with a power wire coming off it say 500mm with one of the iec through connectors on(like you get on some pc monitors its like a male iec with a female directly behind it and a wire coming out the side to the device), so it simply plugs into your speaker, then you plug your iec for the active cab in to it, simple and less wiring too.

I doubt an audio transmitter would take 240v to power! - you'd need a transformer somewhere in-line I'd suspect.

Good idea though

well yeah that would be inclosed in the dongle housing i would guess, so its just one neat tidy unit, with just the power lead coming off there just is nothing on the market, that ive seen they all have external power adapters so then you need an extention lead to the active cab with two sockets rather than one long xlr in this case

LD uses batteries so you do not need a power cable on the receiver - batteries last 10 hours I am told.

Hope this helps?
