Hi,
I was wondering if anyone else uses flash games to offer prizes as a way of pulling in visitors to your website?
I was thinking of directing anyone that completes an online quotation to be directed to a scratchcard where they could either win a discount voucher or win an entry into a prize draw for a free disco (with restrictions) to be drawn at christmas.
I thought it might add interest and pull in potential customers.
Any thoughts?

Nice idea, I cant see why it wouldnt work to be honest. Unless the potential customer is veiwing from an apple device.
Everyone loves "something for nothing"
You could even offer additional services as prizes i.e Basic 4 x Uplighting etc etc.

Don't you think it lowers the tone?

The tone of what exactly?

Like the idea of additional services....
Yes the apple mobile device doesn't currently support flash, but the majority of visitors to my website are either direct or through search engines.
I think it's more about fun, generating business and getting more visitors to your website.

If you would both explain the reasons behind your statements, you might actually add value to the thread :)
I'm bored of reading dismissive comments in 80% of your posts.
No I don't like that!
The cables need attention!
It just looks like a scruffy venue etc
We are not all providing services in your target market/areas! What applies to you, doesn't apply to everyone.

If you were to do some sort of game/comp, I'd go down the facebook app route. It posts that there playing and they like your site etc etc.
Win win.

That's a good idea - can you recommend any apps that can do this?
