For transport and effects control, plug and play it is great yes. I have been using one for about 16 months now.

As I already had a mixer I liked it made sense to have an outbound controller rather than something with a mixer built in. Also when I play the bars it means it is highly portable and I can take it along.

A very good controller. Dont own one myself but have seen used live and everyone I have spoken to who owns one only has good things to say.
