1 mixer - 2 amp - 4 speakers

guys is there anyway i can put 1 mixer with 1x phono outputs

2 amps ( 1000W) with 2 x 500watt speakers off each both with 1/4jack input from mixer

How can I run the two amps with the the 1 mixer if i have only 1 master ouput on the mixer ???

Just use phono splitters on the output of the mixer and feed into both amps. It will be exactly the same as looping through an amplifier. My choice would be for the flying lead type splitter tather than the solid adapter.

I've never tried it but I was going to suggest the same.
I find it strange that the mixer only has one output. Every mixer I have ever used has had balanced XLR, output and also one for booth/monitor.
If that's the case then I'd connect one via XLR and the other via booth/monitor.

True in many cases I believe Steve. The beauty of the DN X-500 is that you can press a button, and send the mic to all outputs.


Most professional amps nowadays tend to have say jack and XLR sockets for input. It's fine to use these for daisy chaining amps together, thus ensuring they get the same signal.

If you normally go from phono on the mixer to the jack inputs, that would leave you with the XLR's to send to the jack inputs on the second amp.

I don't think there is any point in giving any further advice until we know what the mixer & amps are. Otherwise with few exceptions, we're just stabbing in the dark.

Its always better to avoid using additional connectors if you can but its no different to feeding an unbalanced signal into an amplifier and then onward from the parallel connected loop through socket on that, you are just connecting them together at a different point. The output of the mixer will be low impedance and the inputs to the amps relatively high so no problem driving them.

Another option is to make a custom cable with three connectors on to daisy chain the amps together....
