Micro projector

A friend of mine back in the UK, is sending me one of these FOC ! He works for a AV company and a client bought a load and didn't use some of them. It's still in the box with the VGA adaptor and everything. What do you think ? any good for showing video at gigs ? (Maybe not anything too important, just some visials or maybe a slideshow for a wedding fair ?)

If that is true why would people ever by professional projectors costing thousands of pounds when a tiny little pocket device will do the job ???

Hmm.. i dont want to wee on your bonfire but i'd be surprised if you can get anything bigger than a 2 ft image before the illumination is so low that you can't see it.

One of my day job customers had one of these and in the end they had to quickly rush out and buy a real projector.

I'll let you know when it arrives if it's any good. Might just use it as another display for my lappy & iPhone !

The overall opinion on here seemed to pretty negative but no-one said at the time they had any experience using them.

Let me know how you get on with them. I've bought a full-size Samsung projector now but I'd happily look in to these again as possible back up.

I'm not sure of the make, but we saw some of these micro projectors at the Gadget show live earlier this year and generally they were rubbish and very dull!
